Subject: Gateway Inn as a Homeless Shelter on License Commission's agenda, April 2 at 10 AM

Folks:

The issue of whether using the Gateway Inn as, essentially, a homeless shelter was to be heard at the License Commission this past Tuesday, but the owners rescheduled it as their attorney couldn't be there. It's not clear that the current use, which basically fills the hotel (by Lanes and Games on Route 2) every night with families who do not have homes, is a legal use.

I thought some of you might be interested in this issue, even if you can't attend the hearing.

You can read a relevant Chronicle article at: http://www.wickedlocal.com/cambridge/archive/x1683618554/Cambridge-concerned-for-hotels-homeless-guests.

Take care.

Craig
