Micromobility- the future of Urban Transportation

My assistant, Mark Gutierrez, put together a review of how emerged and emerging micromobility options- those things that are smaller than a car but are not bikes or pedestrians- present new challenges and provide new opportunities for mobility in urban areas like Cambridge. Our transportation planning can no longer be governed by the thinking of a century’s worth of “Car is King” training and investments and Mark’s memo gives us some frameworks within which to envision and then design for the next generation of urban mobility.
